Supreme Court Case, Janus vs AFSCME

Recent Union History

It is not a single point of conflict. But a long string of decisive and exacting measures with a singular purpose - to destroy unions as we have known them. The battles are on many fronts, and with Republican-held Executive and Legislative branches in Washington, now is the time to fight back before it is too late.

Why Now?

It is high time to add back the union voice to the conversation. The other side is loud and vocal and has been hammering unions with the best misinformation money can buy. It is time to refute the lies, and directly rebuild trust with your members. It is time to get off the sidelines and take control of the conversation.

The Ongoing War On Workers

Corporations continue to strip workers of basic decencies with their large donations to the current administration.

Changes at the NLRB

The Trump administration has tipped the National Labor Relations Board to meet his agenda of crushing labor from within.

  • At the core, labor unions are working men and women, unified as one force. Despite any personal differences that may exist between us, we have banded together to protect and improve the lives of workers. We rise up together for the greater good.

    - SUE CARNEY, APWU

  • Power is the flower of organization.

    - A. Philp Randolph

  • Without a Union, the people are always cheated, and they are so innocent.

    - Cesar Chavez

  • The only effective answer to organized greed is organized labor.

    - THOMAS R. DONAHUE

  • Unions have been fighting the 1 percent vs 99 percent fight for more than 100 years. Now the rest of us are learning that this fight is also OUR fight.

    - DAVE JOHNSON, Fellow, Campaign for Americas Future and Entrepreneur

  • The labor movement did not diminish the strength of the nation, but enlarged it. By raising the living standards of millions, labor miraculously created a market for industry and lifted the whole nation to undreamed of levels of production. Those who attack labor forget these simple truths, but history remembers them.

    - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Communicate. Connect. Collect.

How the 3 Cs Work for Unions

Communicate, Collect and Connect. We believe these three words are critical to a unions survivaland are the keys to labor's growth. UnionTrack gives labor leaders the tools to engage their members in a wide variety of ways, including email, text and social media. Local officers and the International Union can now communicate directly with their members, creating a more connected union and a more unified base.

COMMUNICATE

Your members want to hear from you, and they want to be heard, as well. This is how engagement builds over time. For the first time, UnionTrack gives unions the ability to hold two-way conversations with their members in real time, so you know what your members are thinking. They then begin to amplify your messaging through social media and in one-on-one conversations with other members, their family and friends.

CONNECT

Two-way conversations make members feel more connected to the union. They become more active and committed, and are more likely to engage in advocacy, COPE, and organizing efforts. They know their union is looking out for them because they see it in real time. A more connected union makes for stronger collective action.

Collect

Use that connection with your members to collect their opinions through live surveys. Identify your up-and-coming leaders and recognize your most influential members by seeing who engages in which activities. And, of course, collect dues and recurring payments directly as insurance against anti-union Right to Work and Paycheck Protection legislation being pursued at the Federal, State and Local levels.
