About IAFF Local 2339

The purpose of the Tallahassee Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 2339, is to represent and protect our members, the Firefighters and Paramedics who serve in your community.  We represent members who work for the Tallahassee Fire Department and Wakulla Fire Rescue Department.

While our members work every day to help keep you safe, dealing with fires, wrecks, medical calls and more, we work on their behalf by negotiating contracts, assisting with grievances filed on behalf of our firefighters and protecting our professional rights.  This includes working alongside the departments and municipalities in which our members serve.  We collaborate with them toward the goal of providing our neighbors, friends and loved ones the best service possible.

In addition, we contribute our time and resources to multiple charities through our 501c3, the Tallahassee Professional Firefighter Foundation, Inc.  TPFF supports charities including the Children's Burn Camp of North Florida, Pink Heals - Tallahassee Chapter, Stella's Stars, the Tallahassee Adventure Club, and the  Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Along with working to help these charities, our men and women help their community through Shop With A Firefighter, where we take less fortunate children shopping for Christmas presents, we donate and deliver needed supplies to our Veterans at Vet Village, and more.
